Opening Day

I went to my first Opening Day at Miller Park.  It is something that I always wanted to do along with going to a Packers Monday night game.  It was a good time, but let me tell you, it sure was a side show.   People seemed to have been lined up for hours before the lots opened.  After the game, it seemed like it was going to take hours for the lot to clear out.   Also, as a man, I can’t recall ever needing to waiting in line to use the bathroom.  On Opening Day, you will find yourself waiting.

Several members of the Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers were there to throw out the first pitch.  They seemed to do a good job, except Frank Zombo, who couldn’t quite get the ball to go 60 feet.

The Crew came into the game at 0-3 and was looking to get that elusive first win.  It appeared to be a pitching duel early on as Chris Narveson pitched a fantastic game.  Brandon Beachy pitched over 7 innings and only allowed a run.   Narveson went 6 scoreless.   He is really coming into his own.

The Crew was poised to get that win until Saito came in and allowed two home runs.  Yeeeeeah, that was not cool.  That was a little too much to handle as the Crew could now get another run.   They go to 0-4 and I am starting to worry.    We need to win games at home.

Below are a few photos I took at today’s game.
